KIEV, Sept. 14 - Ukraine’s third-largest producer of ammonia, Azot Severodonetsk Amalgamation, on Friday shut its methanol unit following an explosion that destroyed a wall and injured a worker, the emergency ministry reported.

USDA increases 10.8% forecast for Ukraine’s wheat to 21.6-mln mt

KYIV, Aug 13 - In its August report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) increased the forecast for the wheat crop in Ukraine in the 2024/2025 marketing year (MY, July 2024/June 2025) by 10.8% - to 21.6 million tons, and exports - by 7.7%, to 14 million tons.


Ukraine borrows foreign currency loans faster than hryvnia loans

KYIV, Aug 13 – The growth rate of foreign currency loans to legal entities in July for the first time since October last year exceeded the growth rate of hryvnia loans: 1.8%, respectively, to $6 billion and 1.1%, to UAH 557.57 billion, according to statistics from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
