Nestle to invest UAH100 million in development in Ukraine this year
KIEV, Sept. 14 - Nestle, one of the world's largest food producers, will invest about UAH 100 million in development in Ukraine in 2015.
"We plan in 2015 to spend a little more than UAH 100 million on the installation of a production line at Torchyn factory [and we will] expand our workshops at Svitoch. We've also installed new equipment for air conditioning at the distribution center in Smolyhiv," Nestle Director for Ukraine and Moldova Ansgar Bornemann said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine. |

USDA increases 2013/2014 sunflower oil production forecast by 7%
KIEV, Sept. 13 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has upgraded its forecast for sunflower oil production in Ukraine in the 2013/2014 agricultural year (September – August) by 312,000 tons or 7% compared to its August assessment, to 4.515 million tons, reads a posting on the USDA Web site. |
AMC allows Jura-Cement-Fabrike to buy Lafarge Ukraine Holding shares
KIEV, Sept. 16 – The Antimonopoly Committee has permitted Jura-Cement-Fabriken AG (Switzerland), one of the largest producers of cement in Switzerland, and a 100% subsidiary of Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH, Ireland) to acquire shares in Lafarge Ukraine Holding (France), which holds a 99.26% stake in public joint-stock company Mykolaivcement (Lviv region), the committee reported. |
First two Oplot tanks for Thailand undergo testing near Kharkiv
KIEV, Sept. 16 – The first two Oplot main battle tanks produced under an order from Thailand at the Malyshev Plant (Kharkiv), have successfully undergone driving and firing trials at a firing ground near the village of Chuhuiv (Kharkiv region), Ukroboronprom State Concern announced. |
