UkrGazDobuvannia signs one-year contract for 50 fracking jobs

KIEV, Oct. 13 - Ukraine’s biggest natural gas producer UkrGazDobuvannia (UGV) and Romania’s Tacrom Services S.R.L. signed a one-year contract for 50 hydrofracking jobs, UGV reported Thursday.

Molasses can supply 1/3 of Ukraine's biofuel need, says official

KIEV, Oct. 16 – The volume of molasses made in Ukraine in a year is enough to produce only 100,000 tons of bioethanol, which is one third of the country's needs for 2014, Director of Ukrprodspilka Mykola Tychenko, said at a roundtable in Kiev on Tuesday.

"Taking into account the forecasts for the harvest, this year we'll have 400,000-500,000 tons of molasses. If it all of it is used to produce bioethanol, this is enough to make only 100,000 tons," he said.


Kharkiv plant completes first batch of Oplot tanks for Thailand

Podilsky Cement launches new 3 million ton capacity production line

KIEV, Oct. 14 – Podilsky Cement (Kamianets-Podilsky, Khmelnytsky region), part of Cement Roadstone Holdings (CRH, Ireland), has launched a new technological cement line using a dry production method with a production capacity of around three million tons of cement per year, Podilsky Cement commercial director Anatoliy Dehtiarev announced.
