Ukraine to build Westinghouse nuclear fuel technology line in 2026: Energoatom
KYIV, Oct 16 - A line for the production of nuclear fuel in Ukraine using the technology of the American company Westinghouse is planned to be built in 2026, agreements on the transfer of technology and the supply of equipment are currently being worked out in order to begin producing such fuel in 2027, said head of Energoatom Petro Kotin.

IAEA to watch seven key substations during Russian missile attacks
KYIV, Oct 16 – Ukraine has identified seven substations that are critical for distributing power from nuclear plants, which will now be under the watch of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) missions, according to Petro Kotin, head of National Nuclear Power Generating Company Energoatom. He made the announcement at the international conference "Nuclear Opportunities for the Country's Development: Wartime and Post-War Recovery" organized by the company on October 15.

Personnel shortages, cost increases hamper Ukraine’s construction effort
KYIV, Oct 16 – The cost of construction and installation work in Ukraine has increased by 35% since the beginning of 2023 against the backdrop of a personnel shortage that has reached 40% in some companies, said managing partner of the DIM group of companies Oleksandr Nasikovsky in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

World Bank, European banks agree on procuring Ukrainian public sector
KYIV, Oct 16 – The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the World Bank have agreed to harmonize procurement procedures for public sector investments they finance in Ukraine.
