Lysychansk oil refinery may halt operation due to competition
KIEV, Jan. 14 - Lysychansk oil refinery (LINIK, Luhansk region) could be halted due to unequal competition on the market with fuel from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the press service of Kiev-based TNK-BP Commerce Ltd. has told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on a statement of TNK-BP CEO in Ukraine Felix Lunev in an article in the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper. |
Austrian companies buying stake in Ukraine International Airlines
KIEV, Jan. 14 – Kiev-based Capital Investment Project, and two Austrian-based companies - UIA Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH and UIA Holding GmbH, which are co-owners of private JSC Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) - have announced plans to buy a state stake in the airlines estimated at 61.58% of its charter capital. |
Businessmen improve inflation forecasts in Q4 2010, NBU reports
KIEV, Jan. 14 – Ukrainian business improved its inflation forecasts in the fourth quarter of 2010, although they worsened devaluation expectations, reads a posting on the Web site of the National Bank of Ukraine, referring to the results of a poll of company heads. |
Kernel Group buys controlling stake in Allseeds for $42 million
KIEV, Jan. 15 – Kernel Group, one of the largest agroindustrial groups in Ukraine, announced it has signed an agreement on the acquisition of a controlling stake in Allseeds Group, the largest Ukrainian operator on the vegetable oil market, for $42 million.
