USAID’s program to provide Ukrainian farmers with free sunflower seeds
KYIV, May 14 - The USAID program for agricultural and rural development within the framework of the AGRI-Ukraine initiative will provide farmers with free sunflower seeds, which will be provided by the Lidea Ukraine company, the press service of the donor organization reported on Facebook.

Ukrainian growth may slow to 2.9% in 2024: European forecast
KYIV, May 15 – Ukrainian economic growth this year will slow to 2.9% after 5.3% in 2023, followed by acceleration to 5.9% next year, according to the European Economic Forecast. Spring 2024 report published on the European Commission's website on Wednesday.

Ukrtruboprom increases pipe production 12.6% on year in January-March
KYIV, May 16 – Enterprises of the Ukrtruboprom association increased pipe production by 12.6% in January-March of the current year compared to the same period last year, reaching 142,500 tons.
According to the association's data released on Tuesday, in January 2024, 52,500 tons of pipe products were produced (174.4% compared to January 2023), in February – 41,400 tons (105.1% compared to February 2023), and in March – 48,600 tons (85.1% compared to March 2023).

Ukraine, Argentina working on free trade agreement
KYIV, May 16 – Following a visit to Argentina and Chile this week, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko noted the existence of a joint interest in investment and announced the prospect of concluding bilateral free trade agreements.

Ukraine working group drafts new set of sanctions on Russia, report says
KYIV, May 16 – The International Working Group on Russian Sanctions, led by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI), Ambassador Michael McFaul, presented a new action plan on further strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia – Action Plan 3.0.

Ukraine working to retrieve Zhevaho’s frozen $113-mln in Switzerland
KYIV, May 17 – The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), together with the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), are working on the return from the Swiss Confederation of more than $113 million frozen on the accounts of companies whose ultimate beneficial owner is former MP, the shareholder of JSC Bank Finance & Credit Kostiantyn Zhevaho, the SBI has reported.
