NBU cancels rules enabling it to restrict currency market operations

KIEV, July 15 – The National Bank of Ukraine has canceled a requirement according to which it had the right to restrict banks in their operations on the interbank currency market or disconnect them from the transactions confirmation system on the interbank currency market, the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine reported.

"The putting to sea of the Zaporizhia submarine is a significant event, as a whole generation of the Naval Forces, the submarine force, is being revived. Industrial production down 1.4% last month, government reports

KIEV, July 17 – Industrial production in Ukraine fell by 1.4% in June versus June 2011, bringing the industrial production growth in six month of 2012 to 0.4% from 0.7% in January-May 2012, the State Statistics Service reported on Tuesday.
