USDA improves Ukraine’s wheat harvest forecast to 22.5-mln mt in 2023-24

KYIV, Sept 13 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has improved the forecast for the wheat harvest in Ukraine in the beginning of the 2023/24 calendar year from 21 million tons to 22.5 million tons, corn – from 27.5 million tons to 28 million tons due to larger-than-expected planted areas and second-ever yields.

Odesa hotels report occupancy at 68% in August: Hotel Matrix

KYIV, Sept 16 - The occupancy of hotels in Odesa in August averaged 68%, according to a Hotel Matrix hotel market study.

"The occupancy of Odesa hotels in August 2020 reached 68%. At the same time, it will be unexpected for many that hotels located in the city center reached 70% of the occupancy rate. Hotels in the resort areas of Arkadiya and Lanzheron were loaded by 65% in August," the report says.
