JTI tobacco company plans to invest $45-mln to expand in Ukraine
KYIV, April 29 – JTI Ukraine tobacco company plans to invest $45 million in the expansion and renovation of the production facilities of its factory in Kremenchuk in 2021-2022, General Manager of Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Ukraine Paul Holloway told Interfax-Ukraine.

Ukraine seeks to strengthen anti-smoking legislation
KYIV, April 29 – The Cabinet of Ministers will propose to the Verkhovna Rada to strengthen anti-smoking legislation, in particular to introduce a number of bans on production, trade and import of cigarettes, as well as to equalize the status of electronic and conventional cigarettes.

Plank Electrotechnic reports 30% growth in sales during China lockdown
KYIV, April 28 – The manufacturer of electric systems, Plank Electrotechnic LLC, in the Bila Tserkva industrial park (the project of UFuture Group of businessman Vasyl Khmelnytsky) has noted growth in production and sales by 20-30% a month amid problems with supplies of similar products from China and Turkey due to lockdown, Khmelnytsky said on its Facebook page. |
Naftogaz reports 2019 profits growing after Gazprom legal dispute payoff
KYIV, April 29 – The Naftogaz Ukrayiny Group in 2019 saw UAH 63.3 billion in net profit thanks to payment of $2.9 billion by Russia's Gazprom under the Gas Transit Award of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. The profit was UAH 51.7 billion more than in 2028 (a 5.5-fold rise year-over-year), the company has reported. |
