Kozhara delivers stern warning to Brussels on Association Agreement

BRUSSELS, May 27 – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has warned Brussels against a failure to sign the Association Agreement with Kiev, saying it could cause “a serious geopolitical collapse“ the European Union's foreign policy.


IMF unlikely to reach deal with Kiev this year, says S&P director

KIEV, May 28 – The International Monetary Fund is unlikely to come to an agreement with Ukraine in 2013, director of sovereign ratings at S&P (Standard & Poor's international agency) Trevor Cullinan has said.


Kiev 64th Global Destination city this year, according to MasterCard

KIEV, May 28 – Some 1.661 million foreign travelers will visit Kiev in 2013, MasterCard said.

"Kiev is 64th in the Global Destination Cities Index, and among European cities it is 21st. According to researchers, 11,660,562 foreign travelers will visit the capital of Ukraine in 2013. Some $1,686 will be spent during one visit on average," MasterCard said, referring to the results of its third annual study.

Antimonopoly Committee orders eight companies to gut gas prices

KIEV, May 29 – Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee has ordered eight large fuel market players in the country to reduce prices of A-95 gasoline in the short term.

The committee said that the recommendation to reduce prices of gasoline to the level that would have been if there were competition on the market were sent to Lukoil Ukraine, public joint-stock company Galnaftogaz Concern, private enterprise Okko naftoproduct, Kontinium-Galychyna Trade House LLC, Kontinent Nafto Trade LLC, UTN Vostok LLC, Alliance Holding LLC and Kersher JV LLC.


IUEC and Nuclear Fuel state company to integrate with Tvel fuel

MOSCOW, May 29 – International Uranium Enrichment Center (IUEC) and the Ukrainian state concern Nuclear Fuel have signed an agreement foreseeing the integration of the center into making supplies of fuel to Ukrainian nuclear power plants by TVEL, the center's director, Aleksey Lebedev, told Interfax-Ukraine.
