Gazprom mulling $18 billion 'take-or-pay' lawsuit against Naftogaz

MOSCOW, June 16 - Gazprom will now consider suing Naftogaz Ukrainy for $18 billion under take-or-pay gas contracts for 2012 and 2013.

"We could have filed [a claim] yesterday or the day before, and now we'll see," Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told a press conference at the Interfax head office.

Ukraine's industrial output decline accelerates to 9.3% in May

KIEV, June 17 – The volume of industrial output in Ukraine fell by 9.3% in May compared to May 2012, which was a significantly worse decline than in previous months, the State Statistics Service said on Monday.
