UIA pushes international flights to August as virus cases increase

KYIV, June 18 – Ukraine International Airlines postponed most international flights until August 1, a two-week delay, as the government is growing cautious over the increasing number of coronavirus cases.

USDA sees Ukraine’s rapeseed exports up 40% to 3.5-mln mt in 2019/20

EBRD calls on Ukraine to postpone power market reform for 6 months

KYIV, June 13 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) confirms its position on the need to postpone the launch of the electricity market from June 1, 2019 for three or six months to better prepare for it, considering the longer periods to be excessive and bearing negative consequences, EBRD Senior Adviser on External Affairs Anton Usov said.


Russia says delays gas talks with Ukraine until late September

Westinghouse, Polenergia, EDF to join tender on Ukraine-EU Power Bridge project

KYIV, June 14 – Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has allowed a consortium of Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB, Polenergia International S.ar.l. and EDF Trading Limited to participate in a tender to implement the Ukraine-EU Power Bridge project, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.


Abromavicius’s appointment seen reducing corruption in defense sector

KYIV, June 14 – Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Serhiy Kryvonos said the appointment of former economic development and trade minister Aivaras Abromavicius a member of the supervisory board of the Ukroboronprom state concern would help accelerate the pace of the anti-corruption reform in the defense sector and reduce corruption risks in the defense industry management system.


Khmelnytsky’s UFuture to boost investments 20% to $60-mln in 2019
