Ukrainians rush to book tours with bankrupt Kiev-based agency

KIEV, July 15 – Going bankrupt has apparently not stopped a Kiev-based travel agency from doing a brisk business.

Despite its having been declared bankrupt in a July 5 Kiev Economic Court ruling declared Karya Tour, Tourist Business Leaders Association reports that hundreds of travel agencies have addressed it claiming that they have to date opened trip vouchers through Karya Tour Ukraine for UAH 600,000 as of July 14, acting president of the association Olena Shapovalova told the First National TV channel.


Court ruling to raise Kiev subway fares, says top city official

KIEV, July 16 - Kiev City State Administration is not initiating an increase in the city subway fares, but will be forced to raise prices due to a court ruling, Oleksandr Popov, the acting head of Kiev City State Administration, said at a press conference.
