Gross foreign debt to decline to 66% of GDP in 2016, says NBU
KIEV, June 25 - Ukraine's gross foreign debt would narrow to 66% of gross domestic product in 2016 from 84.1% as of early April 2011 if the economy develops under a basic scenario, according to Serhiy Nikolaichuk the head of the department for methods, analysis and forecast of the balance of payment of the balance of payment department at the National Bank of Ukraine. |
ArcelorMittal and State Tax Service sign ‘horizontal monitoring’ deal
KIEV, June 25 – Ukraine's State Tax Service and ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih have signed a memorandum on participation in an experiment in the introduction of "horizontal monitoring" under which the company is to withdraw its claim against the tax authorities for UAH 900 million. |
Law would allow corporatization of not-to-be privatized companies
KIEV, June 29 – Lawmakers have proposed to permit corporatization of Zaporizhia titanium and magnesium combine, Titan state-run joint-stock company (Armiansk, Crimea), Irshansk ore mining and processing enterprise (Zhytomyr region) and Vilnohirsk mining and smelting mill (Dnipropetrovsk region), although retain them on a list of companies that are not subject to privatization. |
Knauf Insulation to build new EUR100 million plant Kiev region
KIEV, June 25 – Knauf Insulation Ukraine Ltd. plans to build a rockwool insulation plant worth over EUR 100 million in Fastiv (Kiev region), although the company has not decided when work on the plant will start, company Director Andriy Pavlyk said. |
