Ukraine's GDP grows 1.3% on year in October, decelerating from Sept
KYIV, Nov 18 – Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.3% in October 2024 compared to October 2023, a deceleration from September's 3.8% growth but an improvement over August and July figures of 0.3% and 1.1%, respectively, according to preliminary estimates by First Deputy Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev.

Ukraine wants European firms to store gas in its underground gas storage
KYIV, Nov 17 – Ukraine offers European partners to create a general international gas fund based on its own underground gas storage (UGS) facilities.
This is reported in a press release of the Energy Ministry on Wednesday, with reference to the performance of Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko during Talks Geopolitics online discussion organized by the European Policy Centre (EPC).

Rada approves timber market bill without lifting timber exports ban
KYIV, Nov 18 – The Verkhovna Rada adopted at the first reading bill No. 4197-d on the timber market, but removed the provision on lifting the moratorium on timber exports from it.
Some 276 MPs baked the decision at a parliamentary session on Thursday, with the required 226 votes.

Parliament’s bill to offset debts between Naftogaz, Ukrnafta, government
KYIV, Nov 17 - Parliament adopted the bill No. 4119 on amendments to the national budget of Ukraine for 2020 regarding the implementation of Article 11 of the law on the natural gas market, which provides for the financial recovery of Ukrnafta by offsetting from Naftogaz and the national budget.
