Vodafone Ukraine owner completes UAH 3.94-bln payment to Ukraine for UMCC

KYIV, Nov 18 – NEQSOL Holding, owner of Vodafone Ukraine, the country's second-largest mobile operator, has completed a UAH 3.94 billion payment to Ukraine's state budget for acquiring United Mining and Chemical Company (UMCC, Kyiv) in a privatization auction.


Ukraine's GDP grows 1.3% on year in October, decelerating from Sept

KYIV, Nov 18 – Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.3% in October 2024 compared to October 2023, a deceleration from September's 3.8% growth but an improvement over August and July figures of 0.3% and 1.1%, respectively, according to preliminary estimates by First Deputy Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev.

Ukraine wants European firms to store gas in its underground gas storage

KYIV, Nov 17 – Ukraine offers European partners to create a general international gas fund based on its own underground gas storage (UGS) facilities.

Rada approves timber market bill without lifting timber exports ban

KYIV, Nov 18 – The Verkhovna Rada adopted at the first reading bill No. 4197-d on the timber market, but removed the provision on lifting the moratorium on timber exports from it.

Some 276 MPs baked the decision at a parliamentary session on Thursday, with the required 226 votes.
