EBA executive director criticizes Yatseniuk at cabinet meeting

KIEV, June 26 - Anna Derevyanko, executive director of the European Business Association, criticized Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk for the absence of systems and deep reforms in Ukraine in a meeting with Yatseniuk and Ukrainian Cabinet officials.


Wage arrears grew 21.1% in May, State Statistics Service reports

KIEV, June 26 - The total sum of wage arrears in Ukraine 2015 grew 21.1% in May, the State Statistics Service reported.

According to the service, wage arrears on June 1, 2015 amounted to UAH 1.811 billion, or 5.4% of the monthly wage fund for May.


Trade ministry writes letter to invite PayPal to come to Ukraine

KIEV, June 26 – The Economic Development and Trade Ministry has sent an official letter to the top managers of the PayPal international payment system with an invitation to enter the Ukrainian market, the ministry said on its website.


Gross foreign debt to decline to 66% of GDP in 2016, says NBU

KIEV, June 25 - Ukraine's gross foreign debt would narrow to 66% of gross domestic product in 2016 from 84.1% as of early April 2011 if the economy develops under a basic scenario, according to Serhiy Nikolaichuk the head of the department for methods, analysis and forecast of the balance of payment of the balance of payment department at the National Bank of Ukraine.


ArcelorMittal and State Tax Service sign ‘horizontal monitoring’ deal

KIEV, June 25 – Ukraine's State Tax Service and ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih have signed a memorandum on participation in an experiment in the introduction of "horizontal monitoring" under which the company is to withdraw its claim against the tax authorities for UAH 900 million.

KIEV, June 25 – Ukraine's government has proposed to shorten the list of the companies that cannot be privatized, and tabled a corresponding bill (No. 8723) in Parliament.


Law would allow corporatization of not-to-be privatized companies

KIEV, June 29 – Lawmakers have proposed to permit corporatization of Zaporizhia titanium and magnesium combine, Titan state-run joint-stock company (Armiansk, Crimea), Irshansk ore mining and processing enterprise (Zhytomyr region) and Vilnohirsk mining and smelting mill (Dnipropetrovsk region), although retain them on a list of companies that are not subject to privatization.
