Ukraine seeks transfer of technology for local vaccine production: Dartnitsa
KYIV, Aug 18 – Only the state can deploy its own vaccine production in Ukraine, for this it is necessary to give guarantees of purchase for at least 10 years, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Darnitsa Group Dmytro Shymkiv has said.
"The world is moving towards building a biological safety system. Ukraine has already faced a shortage of vaccines against COVID-19. Localization of vaccine production through technology transfer could be the best solution to the situation," he told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on possibilities of creating vaccine production in Ukraine.

Ukraine cuts steel pipe production 28.7% on year in January-July
KYIV, Aug 18 – The main pipe enterprises of Ukraine reduced the production of pipes from ferrous metals, according to recent data, by 28.7% in January-July 2020, compared to the same period in 2019, to 472,400 tons. In particular, the country produced 69,600 tons in July and 75,400 tons in June.
