Kyiv Mayor: Troyeschyna subway line construction to start after bridge ready

KYIV, Sept 19 – Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said that construction of the fourth subway line in Kyiv will start after the completion of the Podilsko-Voskresensky Bridge and it will take five years to finish the line, the press service of the Kyiv City Administration has reported.


Ukrzaliznytsia mulls transportation tariff hike of 12% in 2019

KYIV, Sept 19 – Ukrzaliznytsia is mulling a possibility of increasing transportation tariffs by at least 12% in 2019, Director for Economy and Finance at Ukrzaliznytsia Andriy Riazantsev told reporters on the sidelines of the Global Outlook 2018 conference organized by the European Business Association (EBA) in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Central bank reduces its refinancing rate to 15%, down from 15.5%

KIEV, Sept. 15 – The National Bank of Ukraine effective September 16 is reducing its refinancing rate from 15.5% to 15%.

This is outlined in NBU resolution No. 277-rsh dated September 15, 2016 on the size of the refinancing rate.
