Ukraine to attract UAH 50-bln in hydrocarbon production within 12 PSA deals

KYIV, Dec 18 - Ukraine expects to attract more than UAH 50 billion in hydrocarbon production within 12 production sharing agreements (PSA), Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk has said.


Cabinet transfers 90% stake in massive shale gas field to Yuzgaz B.V.

KYIV, Dec 18 - The Cabinet of Ministers approved the transfer of 90% stake in Nadra Yuzivska LLC in the production sharing agreement (PSA) on Yuzivska shale gas deposit (Kharkiv and Donetsk regions) to Yuzgaz B.V. (the Netherlands) with the investor and operator of the project represented by the Slovak company Nafta.


Ukraine may start measuring natural gas in kWh vs. cubic meters

KYIV, Dec 18 – Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has proposed to switch to measuring and balancing of natural gas on the market in thermal units, or kilowatt-hours instead of cubic meters, from April 1, 2019.


Ukrainian Cabinet extends for year ban on imports of Russia goods

KYIV, Dec 18 - The Cabinet of Ministers has extended until December 31, 2019 the embargo on a host of Russian goods and the import duties on other Russian goods that were introduced in 2016 in response to Russian trade restrictions against Ukraine.

Dnipro mayor signs agreement with EBRD on EUR 10-mil loan for electric transport

DNIPRO, Dec 15 – Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov has signed a trilateral agreement between the City Council, municipal enterprise Dniprovsky Electric Transport and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on preparing a EUR 10 million loan to buy 50 new trolleybuses and repair equipment.


USAID plans 5-year project to support Ukrainian energy sector reforms

KYIV, Dec 15 – The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) plans a new five-year project to support reforms in the Ukrainian energy sector with the total cost of up to $90 million, a member of the parliamentary committee for fuel and energy complex, Olha Belkova, has said.

Turkish firm Onur to complete reconstruction of Kyiv-Odesa highway

KYIV, Dec 15 - The Turkish company Onur will complete the reconstruction of the section of the Kyiv-Odesa highway from Kyiv to Bila Tserkva instead of Altcom Financial and Industrial Group, Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan said.
