Ukrainian farmers seek bigger quotas for agriculture products to EU
KYIV, July 28 – Farmers expect an increase in import quotas for Ukrainian products in the EU as part of the update of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement (AA), in particular, tomato producers expect an increase in annual tomato import quotas from 10,000 tons to at least 30,000 tons.

Ukrtelecom unhappy about Supreme Court ruling over contract with Oshchadbank
KYIV, July 26 – Ukrtelecom is disappointed with the decision of the Supreme Court to recognize as legal a contract with Oschadbank to buy ESU bonds in the amount of UAH 1 bln plus interest from it and states that the contract cannot be actually executed without a significant harm to the company's activities. |
Former Alfa-Bank manager seeks to acquire Ukrainian assets of Russia’s VEB
KYIV, July 26 – Financial Company (FC) Geneva LLC and Yevropeiske Oshchadne Tovarystvo ("European Saving Society") (both based in Kyiv), which are affiliated with ex-head of Alfa-Bank (Kyiv) Andriy Volkov's Investohills, an investment banking boutique, intend to buy a Ukrainian subsidiary of Russia's VEB, Prominvestbank (PIB), put up for sale pursuant to an international arbitration award on the Crimean assets lawsuit filed by companies associated with the ex-owners of PrivatBank. |
Danyliuk backs Groysman’s idea for new competition to develop Dolphin gas field
KYIV, July 29 – National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Danyliuk has supported the initiative of Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, who intends to propose Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers review the possibility of announcing a new competition for developing hydrocarbon deposits in the Dolphin sector of the Black Sea shelf under the terms of a production-sharing agreement (PSA). |
Odessa Port-Side Plant to resume operation August 1, supplier says
KYIV, July 29 – Odesa Port-Side Chemical Plant (OPZ) started pre-commissioning and will resume its work on August 1, 2019, said OPZ Deputy Director on Economic and Financial Issues Volodymyr Vakeryak at a press conference regarding signing of give-and-take contract with LLC Agro Gas Trading (Kyiv). |
