Ukraine’s power generation up 1.9% on year in January-May

KYIV, June 20 – Ukraine’s power production in the united power grid of Ukraine in January-May 2018 increased by 1.9% (by 1.264 billion kWh) compared to January-May 2017, to 68.203 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reported.


Ukraine’s thermal coal shipments up 180% on year in Jan-May

KYIV, June 20 - Shipment of steam coal to the thermal power plants (TPP) and combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) of Ukraine in January-May 2018 amounted to 2.781 million tons (2.8 times up on January-May 2017).


Ukrtatnafta asks to hike excise taxes on gas, diesel fuel, LNG

KYIV, June 20 – Ukrtatnafta, the country’s largest oil refinery, asked the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to bring excises on gasoline and diesel fuel to a single rate of EUR 164 per 1,000 liters, excise on liquefied gas - to raise to EUR 87 per 1,000 liters, the company reported.


Naftogaz cancels Egyptian upstream investment banking tender

Czech, French and Polish companies qualify for Naftogaz tender

KIEV, June 19 – CEZ A.S. of the Czech Republic, ENGIE SA of France and Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe I Gazownictwo Spolka Akcyjna (PGNiG) of Poland have been prequalified for participating in tenders to sell gas to NJSC Naftogaz Ukrayiny for funds to be lent by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Naftogaz said, with reference to an EBRD announcement.
