Ukraine’s gas storage facilities reach record 28.43 Bcm of gas

KYIV, Oct 19 – Natural gas reserves in underground storage facilities (UGS) of Ukraine as of October 17, 2020 reached 28.434 billion cubic meters, or 91.9% of their total design capacity, according to operational data of JSC Ukrtransgaz.


Hjort Knudsen to invest EUR 11-mln into furniture plant in Ukraine

KYIV, Oct 19 - The Danish manufacturer of upholstered furniture Hjort Knudsen intends to invest EUR 11 million in the construction of an enterprise for production of designer furniture on the outskirts of Rivne as part of expanding its activities in Ukraine, the press service of Rivne Regional State Administration reports.


Railroad firm Ukrzaliznytsia mulls selling scrap metal for extra income

KYIV, Oct 20 – Ukrzaliznytsia can potentially sell about 300,000 tons of scrap metal per year and receive additional annual income in the amount of UAH 1-1.5 billion, however, this potential is not yet fully used, the European Business Association (EBA) has said.


Russian aluminum giant analyzing impact of Ukrainian sanctions

MOSCOW, Oct. 18 - UC Rusal is analyzing the potential impact of Ukrainian sanctions, the Russian aluminum giant said in a statement.

"On October 17 the president of Ukraine promulgated a sanctions list of Russian legal entities and individuals and two of the company's subsidiaries were added to the list of legal entities which are subject to Ukrainian sanctions.

Ukrposhta to submit bill permitting postal deposit accounts

KIEV, Oct. 20 – Ukrposhta intends to submit a bill permitting the company to open current and deposit postal accounts for clients and issue payment cards, using which one can buy goods and pay for utility services, Ukrposhta Director General Ihor Smeliansky said.


Pivdenne Design working on antiaircraft project with foreign partner

KIEV, Oct. 20 – Ukraine's Pivdenne (Yuzhnoye) Design Bureau said it is stepping up the international military and technical cooperation and together with a foreign partner in developing a new short-range anti-aircraft artillery complex for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
