Bila Tserkva mini steel mill will fight unemployment, official says

KIEV, Sept. 17 – A project by Euro Finance Limited on the construction of an environmentally friendly mini steel mill in Bila Tserkva will help the town fight unemployment, according to Anatoliy Prysiazhniuk, the head of Kiev Regional State Administration.


SBU planning to prosecute Naftogaz executives for damages to state

KIEV, Sept. 17 - The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) is planning to send to court a case for damages caused to the state allegedly by executives of Naftogaz Ukrayiny national oil and gas company.


Fitch assigns ‘B’ rating to Ukraine’s $2 billion of eurobonds

KIEV, Sept. 17 – Fitch Ratings has assigned Ukraine's $500-million five-year eurobond and $1.5-billion 10-year eurobond ratings of 'B'.

As Fitch said in a statement, the ratings are in line with Ukraine's Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of 'B', which has a Stable Outlook .


EBRD shareholder delegation starts six-day visit to Ukraine

KIEV, Sept. 17 – A delegation of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development shareholders will start a six-day visit to Ukraine on September 19.

"The delegates will visit Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kakhovka, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk in the country's southern and eastern regions, as well as Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.


Kiev commercial vacancy rate to peak at 30%, according to report

World Bank directors approve $400 million PFRL-1 loan for Ukraine

KIEV, Sept. 18 - The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors has approved a Programmatic Financial Rehabilitation Development Policy Loan 1 (PFRL 1) for Ukraine in the amount of $400 million.

The decision was taken at a meeting in Washington on Sept. 17, the World Bank said in a statement.
