Parliament approves deficit increase to bail out coal producers

KIEV, Sept. 19 – Parliament at the initiative of the government has increased the partial coverage of the costs of coal products by UAH 2.1 billion through increasing the budget deficit and reducing the funding of Naftogaz Ukrayiny.

KIEV, Sept. 20 – Parliament has removed discrepancies in Ukrainian law regarding the rights of investors participating in Product Sharing Agreements (PSAs) to freely use products extracted and allocated in proportion to the share of investors.


Ukraine to get $3 billion credit line from China in return for corn

KIEV, Sept. 20 – Ukraine intends in mid October to sign an agreement with the Export-Import Bank of China that will give Kiev $3 billion in credit lines in exchange for supplies of maize, the Financial Times reported, quoting Ukraine's Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

"China is asking for about 3 m tonnes of corn each year... to be supplied at market prices that are set at the time of export," Prysiazhniuk told the Financial Times.


Top NBU advisor blames August slowdown on worsening of global economy
