Ukraine seeks $15-bln in projects to upgrade energy system
KYIV, Nov 17 – Ukraine needs to implement a number of projects in the next five or 10 years to increase the capacity and flexibility of the energy system, the volume of investments in which will be about $15 billion, Board Chairman of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky has said.

70% of executives want strategic reserve centers built in western Ukraine
KYIV, Nov 17 – The share of respondents who consider it necessary to develop a network of strategic universal transport hubs in the western regions of Ukraine, which can act as a capacity reserve, decreased over the year from 79% to 70%, according to the results of the "Infrastructure Index 2023" study conducted by the European Business Association (EBA).

Ukraine seeks to move 50% of export shipments via Black Sea in 2024
KYIV, Nov 17 – Subject to the full operation of the sea corridor, more than 50% of export shipments in 2024 will be carried out by sea, Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Yuriy Vaskov said at the Infrastructure Day 2023, organized by the European Business Association in Kyiv on Friday.

Ukraine’s economic growth slows to 6.5% on year in Oct vs. 11.1% in Sep
KYIV, Nov 20 – The growth of real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine compared to the same period last year in October slowed to 6.5% from 11.1% in September, primarily due to the lower contribution of agriculture due to a higher statistical base in October last year, according to the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).
