Odessa port problems may cripple Kirovohrad piston manufacturer
KIEV, Oct. 20 – Hydrosila APM (Kirovohrad), the largest axial-piston unit manufacturer in the CIS and part of the Hydrosila Group, says it could stop work completely due to delays with cargo customs clearance at the Odessa maritime merchandise port.
Serhiy Oliynyk, chairman of the company’s trade union committee, said that over 600 employees could be laid off. |

EBRD mulling EUR100 million investment in Ukraine quarry operation
KIEV, Oct. 18 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is considering providing an equity investment of up to EUR 100 million to Lafarge Aggregates Eastern Europe, a regional holding vehicle to be created by Lafarge SA, to manage the existing quarry and distribution operations in Ukraine and pursue further developments in Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Belarus and other selected EBRD countries of operations. |
