EU market more important for steel exports, says trade group official

KIEV, Dec. 20 – The EU countries' share of exports of Ukrainian metal products is 28%, while the share of the CIS states is 16%, 70% of this going to the Russian market, Ukrpromzovnishekspertyza director Volodymyr Vlasiuk, said on Wednesday.

Stirol Concern to reach 100% capacity next year, says Firtash

KIEV, Dec. 17 – OSJC Stirol Concern (Horlivka, Donetsk region) is to start operating at 100% capacity by late 2011, according to Dmytro Firtash, the owner of Group DF.

"I think that by the end of next year the plant will be operating at 100%," he said in Kiev.


Government proposes delay in scrap metal export duty reduction

KIEV, Dec. 20 – Exports of scrap nonferrous metal from Ukraine in 2011 as in 2010 are to have a 24% export duty, according to a draft law on amendments to some Ukrainian laws on transactions with scrap metal passed on December 17.


Ukraine gross foreign debt rose $6.9 billion in Q3, according to NBU

KIEV, Dec. 20 – Ukraine's gross foreign debt rose by $6.989 billion, or by 6.68%, in Q3, to $111.623 billion, reads a statement posted on the Web site of the National Bank of Ukraine.


Boeing concern to lease four aircraft to Kiev’s AeroSvit airline
