KYIV, Sept 26 – Ukrainian law enforcement agencies discovered and suspended an illegal water pipeline operation that had supplied water Russian-occupied Crimea, the authorities reported Wednesday.

Ukraine’s Finance Ministry sees Russia’s Nord Stream 2 as key risk

KYIV, Sept 26 – Ukraine's Ministry of Finance has listed Gazprom's implementation of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project among main fiscal risks.

"The implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project will result in losses due to a decrease in exports of services by about 2.5-3% of GDP (only direct losses)," the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Ukrzaliznytsia testing new diesel locomotive made by General Electric

KIEV, Sept. 28 – Ukrzaliznytsia is testing a TE33&#192; freight diesel locomotive made by General Electric Corporation.

"The General Electric's locomotive is being tested in Ukraine. The tests will last for four months. All its capabilities will be tested," Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan said at the presentation of the locomotive in Kiev on Wednesday.


S&P lifts PrivatBank default rating following deal with creditors

KIEV, Sept. 29 – Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised its long-term counterparty credit rating on Ukraine-based PrivatBank JSC to 'CC' from 'SD' and its short-term counterparty credit rating to 'C' from 'SD'.
