Trade group: Bread prices will hold steady despite wheat price fall

KIEV, Sept. 26 – Prices of bread in Ukraine will be stable, despite a trend for a fall in the price of wheat flour, of Ukrkhlibprom Association Director General Oleksandr Vasylchenko said.


Agreement with ExxonMobil/Shell/Petrom consortium no PSA, source says

KIEV, Sept. 26 – The agreement between the government of Ukraine and the consortium consisting of ExxonMobil, Shell, Petrom (Romania, a subsidiary of Austria's OMV), signed on September 25 as part of negotiations on the development of Skifske deposit of the Black Sea shelf, is purely declarative, a source in the government told Interfax-Ukraine.


Natural gas transit through Ukraine to Europe reported up 0.4%

KIEV, Sept. 27 - Natural gas transit through Ukraine to Europe from January 1 to September 25 increased by 0.4% compared to the same period in 2012, to 59.7 billion cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz said on Friday.


EBRD to loan Ukraine EUR200 million to renovate hydroelectric plants

Ukrainian farmers to rally to demand end to grain export duties

KIEV, Sept. 29 – Ukrainian farmers soon will hold protest rallies demanding the cancellation of the grain export duties in effect until the end of 2011, Hennadiy Novikov, head of the Agrarian Union of Ukraine said at the annual food industry forum in Kiev on Thursday.

He said that the union's council made the decision at a meeting held earlier.


Naftogaz and ExxonMobil sign deal for joint hydrocarbon development

KIEV, Sept. 29 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny on Thursday signed a preliminary agreement with ExxonMobil Corp for joint development of unconventional hydrocarbons in Ukraine.

This is the third paper signed between the two companies since February, underscoring the interest of the U.S. oil major in tapping resources in Ukraine.


Ukrtransnafta announces tender to process 300,000 tons of Azeri oil

KIEV, Sept. 28 - Ukrtransnafta, the monopolist in oil transportation, has announced a tender to process about 300,000 tons of Azeri light oil at Ukrainian oil refineries in the fourth quarter of 2011 and the first quarter of 2012.

KHARKIV, Sept. 28 – State enterprise Malyshev plant (Kharkiv) will supply a second batch of armored vehicles to Iraq under a contract by the end of the year, Ukroboronprom Director General Dmytro Salamatin has said.

KIEV, Sept. 29 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny and Germany's RWE Dea AG have signed a memorandum of cooperation to study the territory of mutual interest on the Ukrainian Black Sea shelf and increase hydrocarbon extraction in Ukraine, Naftogaz reported.


Foxtrot companies to mount legal challenge of police searches

KIEV, Sept. 29 – The Foxtrot group of companies is planning to challenge the actions of law-enforcement bodies during searches of the group's premises and its warehouses, the co-founder of the group, Valeriy Makovetsky, has said.
