Ukraine, Azerbaijan to boost oil and gas sector cooperation

BAKU, June 18 - Azerbaijan and Ukraine have agreed on joint implementation of investment projects in the oil and gas sector and increasing the presence of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) on the Ukrainian oil product market.


NBU watches inflation pressure, but leaves key policy rate unch at 7.5%

KYIV, June 17 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has left its key policy rate unchanged at 7.5%, the NBU has said on its website.

"The Board of the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to keep its key policy rate at 7.5% per annum," the central bank said in a Thursday press release.


Bank Pivdenny to get access to World Bank long-term financing project

KYIV, June 19 – Bank Pivdenny (Odesa) has signed a subsidiary loan agreement with state-controlled Ukreximbank (Kyiv) and received the opportunity to participate in a long-term financing project with the World Bank, the bank reported.


NBU may ease monetary policy as CPI to grow 4.2% in 2020: report

KYIV, June 19 – The consumer price index in 2020 may grow by 4.2%, and in 2021 – by 5.3%, which will allow the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to continue easing its monetary policy, according to a macroeconomic review of the ICU investment group released on Friday.


EBRD may provide $81-mln loan to Kryvy Rih Industrial Gas

KYIV, June 18 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) could provide a long-term loan of $81 million for the construction of an air separation unit of Kryvy Rih Industrial Gas LLC (Kyiv), created last October by the Dutch company Krig Holdings B.V., a joint venture of American-based Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. and ArcelorMittal, in which Air Products is the majority shareholder.


Stockholm court rules to increase UGV’s share in Karpatygaz, Misen

KYIV, June 18 – The Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce issued the second partial award on the increase of the share of Ukrgazvydobuvannia (UGV) in the assets of joint operations with Karpatygaz LLC and Misen Enterprises AB, Naftogaz Ukrainy reported.


Naftogaz freezes Gazprom’s assets in England, Wales after Stockholm ruling

KYIV, June 20 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny has served Gazprom with an order to freeze assets in England and Wales that was issued by the Commercial Court in London on June 18, 2018 to enforce the Stockholm arbitration award, whereby Gazprom owes Naftogaz $2.6 billion, Naftogaz said in a press release on Wednesday.

KYIV, June 21 – The State Property Fund (SPF) is holding consultations with international advisors looking for the optimal model of operation of Turboatom and the size of the stake, which will be put up for sale, acting Head of the SPF Vitaliy Trubarov wrote on his Facebook page late on Tuesday.


Ukraine’s consumer confidence drops 3 points to 58 in Q1

KYIV, June 21 – Consumer confidence index in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2018 fell by 3 points, to 58 points (0–200 scale), according to the Conference Board Global Consumer Confidence Survey prepared jointly with Nielsen.
