KYIV, July 20 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) may cut the refinancing rate on July 23 by one percentage point, to 5% per annum, given the slight acceleration of inflation in June to 2.4% from 1.7% in May, according to poll of bankers released by Interfax-Ukraine.

KYIV, July 19 – The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is conducting a raid in the central office of the ICU investment group in Kyiv, the company said it had fully satisfied all NABU requests for information before, and regards these investigative actions "as an attempt to put pressure which has an explicit political context."


Ukraine to earn UAH 2-bln/ year from special duty on diesel imports

KIEV, July 21 – National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom has denied the report of a serious accident at Khmelnytsky nuclear plant.

MP Andriy Artemenko (Radical Party) has said that on July 16 a serious accident with leakage of nuclear fuel was recorded at the facility.


Ukraine may lower Odessa Portside price

KIEV, July 21 - Ukraine could lower the reserve price in the privatization of a fertilizer plant, the head of the State Property Fund said, after an initial auction was cancelled due to a lack of bidders, Reuters reported.
