Ukraine seeks to spend UAH 40.7-bln on space projects through 2025
KYIV, Sept 29 - The Cabinet of Ministers on September 29 supported the bill on approval of the national scientific and technical space program of Ukraine for 2021-2025 with an approximate amount of funds for its implementation of UAH 40.78 billion, including UAH 15.76 billion from the state budget.

Ukraine extends ban on power imports from Russia, Belarus thru November 1
KYIV, Sept 29 - The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) has extended the ban on the import of electricity from the countries that are not members of the Energy Community, that is, from the Russian Federation and Belarus, for another month - until November 1 of this year.

SkyUp, after consultations, decides to continue Kyiv-Yerevan flights
KYIV, Sept 28 - SkyUp (Kyiv), after consultations with the responsible state and aviation authorities of Ukraine and the Republic of Armenia, has decided to continue flights on the Kyiv-Yerevan route in full in accordance with the announced schedule, the press service of the airline has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Ukraine slaps high anti-dumping duties on Chinese bolts, nuts
KYIV, Sept 29 – The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ICMT) of Ukraine from September 29 introduced the final anti-dumping measures against imports from China of a number of bolts and nuts in the amount of 32.47% to 67.4%, depending on the manufacturer, for five years, according to an announcement in the Uriadovy Kurier government's newspaper.

Low power prices encourage environmentally harmful steel smelters
KYIV, Sept 29 – The current level of electricity prices in Ukraine makes it profitable to smelt steel in outdated and environmentally harmful open-hearth furnaces, and not in environmentally friendly electric steel-making furnaces, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Interpipe Wheel and Pipe Company Denys Morozov said.

Commission seeks police help after ferroalloy workers rally in protest
KYIV, Sept 26 – The National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) has said that the situation with rallies of workers of ferroalloy plants held near the building of the regulator has worsened and demands the reaction from law enforcement authorities. |
