NBU will not weaken monetary policy, but rate may drop by year-end

KYIV, Jan 22 - The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in January will not significantly weaken monetary policy, but by the end of the year the refinancing rate could fall to 15-17% from 18% per annum, according to bankers polled by Interfax-Ukraine.

KIEV, Jan. 20 – Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said that the Cabinet of Ministers started an internal investigation regarding a bogus firm which won a tender for UAH 480 million of the so-called "Kyoto money" and asked the National Anti-Corruption Agency to investigate the matter.
