Ukraine’s economy to expand 4.2% on year in 2021: Concorde Capital

KYIV, Feb 19 – After a 4.1% decline last year, Ukraine's economy will grow by 4.2% this year, with inflation rising from 5% to 7.2%, according to the updated macroeconomic forecast of the Concorde Capital investment company.

State Geology Service complains of Evraz-Sukha Balka picketing

KIEV, Feb. 21 - Ukraine's State Service of Geology and Deposits has complained about pressure from representatives of iron ore miner PJSC Evraz-Sukha Balka, who have been staging a picket outside the agency for several days, preventing its work and demanding the illegal prolongation of special permits for iron ore extraction.


Ukraine interested in port infrastructure cooperation with Qatar

KIEV, Feb. 22 – Ukraine says it is interested in cooperation with Qatar in developing port infrastructure.

Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry has reported that that this was discussed at a meeting of Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan and Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar Jassim Bin Saif Al-Sulaiti held on February 21, 2017 in Geneva as part of the 79th session of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).


Ukraine arms exports reported up 53% last year, to $528 million

KIEV, Feb. 22 – Exports of key types of arms by Ukraine in 2016 totaled $528 million, according to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
