Donetsk coke plant reported operating at less than 25% of capacity

KIEV, Jan. 22 – Avdiyivka by-product coke plant (Donetsk region), part of Metinvest Group, is operating at less than 25% of its capacity and the plant cannot supply coke to the holding's Mariupol Illich Steel Works and Azovstal Steel Works.

Agricultural ministry proposes poultry moisture content requirements

KIEV, Jan. 21 – The Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has said that requirements on the moisture content of poultry should be introduced.

"Ukrainian-reared poultry will become more competitive on the foreign market if Ukraine introduces the single requirement on the moisture content [of poultry]. The regulation of moisture content will help protect Ukrainian consumers from poultry with increased levels of moisture," the ministry said.


DTEK fires 5 top officials after probe finds safety violations

KIEV, Jan. 22 - Ukraine’s largest power and coal mining group DTEK on Tuesday fired six senior officials at its Komsomolets Donbassa coal mine after a probe showed safety rule violations caused a fatal methane explosion earlier this month.
