Ukraine interested in port infrastructure cooperation with Qatar

KIEV, Feb. 22 – Ukraine says it is interested in cooperation with Qatar in developing port infrastructure.

Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry has reported that that this was discussed at a meeting of Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan and Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar Jassim Bin Saif Al-Sulaiti held on February 21, 2017 in Geneva as part of the 79th session of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).


Ukraine arms exports reported up 53% last year, to $528 million

KIEV, Feb. 22 – Exports of key types of arms by Ukraine in 2016 totaled $528 million, according to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).


Groysman: We're stuck with anthracite coal for next three years

KIEV, Feb. 22 – The Ukrainian energy sector has no alternative to anthracite coal for the next three years, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at a government meeting.

"In the medium term outlook – one, two and three years – we do not have an alternative to anthracite coal," he said.
