UIA install lab to check PCR, antibody tests at Boryspil airport
KYIV, June 22 – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has installed the first laboratory for PCR and antibody tests at Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv region).
UIA President Yevhen Dykhne said on Facebook that now the laboratory will be used to test UIA crews, however, it will also be able to provide for the needs of departing or arriving passengers, if the arrival country requires a corresponding certificate.

Incoming World Bank country director to take office on July 25
KIEV, June 22 - Satu Kahkonen, who has been appointed as World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, will take office on July 25.
The bank said that Qimiao Fan, who had been holding the position since February 2012, has been appointed as World Bank Country Director for Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal. |
PM: Let's avoid tinkering with Ukraine tax code for 3 to 5 years
KIEV, June 21 – Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroysman advocates stability of Ukraine's tax system for at least three to five years.
"The first thing that should be done is to ensure stability of the tax reform during at least three or five years. One cannot change taxes every year, especially before New Year eve. |
Agrarian Fund and Ukrainian Capital start program to finance farmers
KIEV, June 22 – The state-owned Agrarian Fund and bank Ukrainian Capital are starting a joint program intended to finance agricultural producers.
The Agrarian Fund reported that UAH 400 million will be provided in the 2016-2017 agricultural year. The share of the bank should be UAH 100-200 million, and the Agrarian Fund would allocate the rest of the funds. |
ArcelorMittal will continue operation despite difficulties, CEO says
KIEV, June 22 – ArcelorMittal, the largest metal company in the world, has invested $1.2 billion ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (former Kryvorizhstal, Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region) and the company has no plans to sell the enterprise due to the difficult situation on the metal product markets, CEO Paramjit Kahlon said at a trade union conference held on June 11. |
IMF to arrive in Kiev Tuesday to conduct Stand-By Arrangement review
KIEV, June 19 – A mission of the International Monetary Fund is to arrive in Ukraine on June 24 to conduct the first review of the Stand-By Arrangement, after which the fund will decide on the disbursal of the second tranche of the SBA loan, Director of the IMF's Communications Department Jerry Rice said at a press briefing in Washington on Thursday. |
Austria’s Activ Solar to increase Okhotnykove plant capacity
KIEV, June 21 – Austria’s Activ Solar is intending to increase the capacity of a solar power plant in Okhotnykove (Saki region, Crimea) to 60 MW by 2012, the head of the State Agency for Energy Saving, Mykola Pashkevych, told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday. |
