Ukraine’s power consumption rises 0.03% on year in Jan-June

KYIV, July 22 – Electricity consumption in Ukraine in January-June 2019, taking into account in-process losses, increased by 0.03% (by 26.7 million kWh) compared to the same period last year, to 76.782 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.


Ukraine’s power output drops 0.1% on year in Jan-June

KYIV, July 22 – Electricity production in the united energy system of Ukraine in January-June 2019 decreased by 0.1% (by 54.9 million kWh) compared to the same period of 2018, to 79.819 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.


Wind Solar Energy to build 25-MW Ovruch solar power plant

KYIV, July 22 – Wind Solar Energy LLC (Kyiv) intends to build the Ovruch wind power plant (Ovruch district, Zhytomyr region) with a capacity of 25 MW, according to the website of the unified register of environmental impact assessment.

SIMFEROPOL, July 20 - The Crimean Chornomornaftogaz State Gas Company (now called Chernomorneftegaz in annexed Crimea), which produces gas and oil off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea and around the peninsula, is planning to double the capacity of the sole underground gas storage facility (UGS) on the peninsula, the Hlibovske UGS, company CEO Sergey Beym said.
