Ukravtodor initiates switch to tougher European standards for traffic

KYIV, Jan 23 – The State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine, also known as Ukravtodor, initiates the switch to tougher European standards for dimensions and weight for traffic – Council Directive 96/53/EC of July 25, 1996.


Ukraine’s agricultural product export up to $18.8-bln in 2018

KYIV, Jan 23 – Foreign trade flow of agricultural products and food in 2018 totaled $24.3 billion, including over $18.84 billion of exported goods, and it grew by 5% compared with 2017, Ukraine's Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has reported.


Ukrenergo testing power grid ahead of Moldova connection

KYIV, Jan 23 – The national power grid Ukrenergo has started testing power units of thermal power plants (TPPs), combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) and hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) to regulate frequency and excitation to study the possibilities of synchronous operation of the power grids of Ukraine and Moldova.


Nikopol, Zaporizhia ferroalloy plants increase output 0.8% in 2018

KYIV, Jan 23 – Large ferroalloy enterprises of Ukraine – Nikopol and Zaporizhia Ferroalloy plants – in 2018 increased production by 0.8% compared with 2017, to 1.035 million tons.

The Ukrainian Association of Ferroalloy Manufacturers told Interfax-Ukraine that over the period silicon-manganese production grew by 6%, to 859,640 tons, while ferromanganese output fell by 30.6%, to 79,480 tons.


Naftogaz lukewarm to Gazprom’s proposal to extend gas transit deal

KYIV, Jan 22 – National energy company Naftogaz Ukrayiny believes the extension of the gas transit contract with Russia's Gazprom on the current conditions is not advisable, it does not have any guarantees for the volumes of gas transit, Naftogaz Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Yuriy Vitrenko said.


UkrNafta cuts oil, gas output 9.2% on year on 2017

KYIV, Jan 19 – Ukrnafta in 2017 reduced oil and gas condensate production by 9.2% (by 139,000 tons) compared to 2016, to 1.379 million tons, the company's press service said.

Ukraine to start building Cyclone-4M launch vehicle for Canada project
