Ukraine to continue sending Russian natural gas to Europe: Vitrenko

KYIV, March 22 – Ukraine will continue to transit Russian natural gas as long as it is technically possible, but proposes to freeze funds from its sale on escrow accounts until the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, head of the board of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrayiny Yuriy Vitrenko said to Bloomberg.


Ukraine’s natural gas consumption up 5.5% on year to 29.8 Bcm in 2020

KYIV, March 23 - Ukraine increased its gross natural gas consumption by 5.5% on the year to 29.84 billion cubic meters in 2020, according to the data of the quarterly monitoring of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC).

Ukraine companies imported $36.2 million of Canadian coal in January

KIEV, March 21 – Ukrainian companies in January 2017 imported coking coal for CAD 48.2 million ($36.2 million under the current exchange rate) from Canada, while in January 2016 no coking coal was imported, Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk has told Interfax-Ukraine.
