First free Wi-Fi access points to appear in Kiev later this week
KIEV, May 23 – The first free Wi-Fi access points will appear in the center of the capital of Ukraine as soon as it marks its anniversary, Oleksandr Kubrakov, adviser to the head of Kiev City State Administration said at a meeting of the public planning council meeting. |
Antonov may supply six An-32 planes to Iraq ahead of schedule
KIEV, May 20 – Antonov State Enterprise may supply six light An-32 planes under a contract with Iraq ahead of schedule.
Three out of the six aircraft have already been assembled in Ukraine but haven't been accepted by Iraqi side yet, Antonov Serial Plant Director Mykola Podhrebelny said. |
Ukrcement to build 340,000-ton cement plant in Kharkiv region
KIEV, May 20 – Ukrcement, a privately owned company (Balakleya, Kharkiv region) plans to build a white cement plant with a production capacity of 340,000 tons per year in Milove, Kharkiv region, announced Oleh Gross, who is the owner of a 30% stake in the company. |
Chief of SBU security service declares UAH5.1 million 2010 income
KIEV, May 23 – The total income of Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, head of Ukraine's SBU security service, came to UAH 5.154 million in 2010.
His declaration, a copy of which has been posted by Ukrainska Pravda online publication, says that Khoroshkovsky obtained UAH 4.9 million from interest and tenancy fees, UAH 11,000 was obtained from scholastic activity and his wage stood at over UAH 235,000. |
Monopoly regulator permits Alcor & Co. to acquire Nevioco stake
KIEV, May 23 – The Antimonopoly Committee has permitted Alcor & Co Ltd. (Moscow), which is developing the L'Etoile perfume chain, to acquire a stake in Nevioco Holdings Limited, which earlier obtained a permit to buy a controlling stake in Hexagone Ltd., a large distributor of Hexagone perfume, operating with the Brocard Ukrainian chain. |
