PM and EBRD president discuss effort to privatize Odessa Plant

KIEV, Nov. 29 – Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development President Suma Chakrabarti have discussed joint efforts to sell state-owned enterprises in Ukraine, in particular the Odessa Port-Side Chemical Plant.

Groysman touts progress in developing Ukraine energy market

KIEV , Nov. 28 – A full-featured energy market is being created in Ukraine , Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.

"The market is competition, including competitive prices for consumers. The creation of the full-featured energy market, growth of own gas production, introduction of energy efficiency and the increase of budget revenue received from state-run companies – all these are consequences of those decisions to recover the energy sector we are making," Groysman said on his Facebook page.


ESTA Holding reopens renovated TsUM department store in Kiev

KIEV, Nov. 29 - ESTA Holding, the managing company of ESTA Group, established by CJSC System Capital Management ( SCM , Donetsk), on November 28 opened the eight-storey Central Department Store (TsUM) with a total leaseable area of 23,500 square meters after reconstruction.


Top 20 banks meet capital requirements, according to NBU official

KIEV, Nov. 29 – The top 20 Ukrainian banks have fulfilled obligations on recapitalization, although verification of recapitalization in one of them is still ongoing, while 12 out of the second 20 banks need additional capitalization, Deputy National Bank of Ukraine Governor Yekateryna Rozhkova said.


Government reports scant progress tackling wage arrears problem

KIEV, Nov. 29 – Wage arrears in Ukraine in October decreased by 0.8% (by UAH 16.5 million), but since the beginning of the year increased by 4.3% and by November 1 am ounted to UAH 1.962 billion, the State Statistics Service said.

Belarus ag ministry denies problems with sanitary certificates

Naftogaz reorganization will take 17 months, says Naftogaz CEO

KIEV, Nov. 26 - The reorganization of Naftogaz Ukrayiny in line with market requirements will be finished by April 2017, company CEO Andriy Kobolev said in an interview on Radio Svoboda.
