AutoKraz Holding supplying 2,000 trucks to Iraq under contract

Zaporizhia NPP to put Unit 6 in cold shutdown, IAEA report says

KYIV, April 21 – The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant has to put reactor Unit 6 in cold shutdown which is expected to be reached by the weekend, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has said.

According to a press release of the IAEA issued on Friday, the decision was made due to warmer weather. The two reactors were in hot shutdown during the winter to provide steam and heating to the ZNPP as well as heating to the nearby city of Enerhodar.


Energoatom, Holtec seek to build small reactors in Ukraine

KYIV, April 24 – President of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom Petro Kotin and President and CEO of U.S. Holtec International Chris Singh on Friday signed an agreement on cooperation in the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs), which provides for the construction of up to 20 SMR-160 reactors, with the implementation the first pilot project and reaching the minimum regulated reactor power and connection to the grid by March 2029.
