AutoKraz Holding supplying 2,000 trucks to Iraq under contract
KIEV, May 24 ??“ AutoKrAZ Holding Company in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, has already supplied Iraq with 1,300 KrAZ vehicles under a contract to supply over 2,000 trucks, and aims to complete the contract on time, its director general Serhiy Sazonov said at a press conference at the international car show SIA-2005 on May 23. |
Ukraine seeks talks with EU countries on grain export ban, minister says
KYIV, April 20 – Ukraine intends to discuss with the neighboring countries of the European Union, which have imposed a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain, the grounds for such a ban, since European markets are traditional for its sale, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky said on the air of the United News telethon.

Ukrenergo seeks to ensure Ukraine continues to export power to Europe
KYIV, April 21 – Ukrenergo continues working with European partners to ensure that electricity exports can take place within the current regulatory framework, until the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) adopts a procedure for holding joint auctions for access to the interstate section, in line with European rules.

Zaporizhia NPP to put Unit 6 in cold shutdown, IAEA report says
KYIV, April 21 – The Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant has to put reactor Unit 6 in cold shutdown which is expected to be reached by the weekend, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has said.
According to a press release of the IAEA issued on Friday, the decision was made due to warmer weather. The two reactors were in hot shutdown during the winter to provide steam and heating to the ZNPP as well as heating to the nearby city of Enerhodar.

Energoatom, Holtec seek to build small reactors in Ukraine
KYIV, April 24 – President of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom Petro Kotin and President and CEO of U.S. Holtec International Chris Singh on Friday signed an agreement on cooperation in the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs), which provides for the construction of up to 20 SMR-160 reactors, with the implementation the first pilot project and reaching the minimum regulated reactor power and connection to the grid by March 2029.

EBRD chief urges Ukraine to speed up privatization of state assets
KYIV, April 23 – President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti during a meeting with Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk noted the importance of the progress in the privatization process in Ukraine in order to attract foreign investment in the country. |
