Ukraine’s Cabinet increases funding to build Odesa airport
KYIV, Aug 21 – The Cabinet of Ministers has made an amendment to the State Target Program for the Development of Airports for the Period up to 2023, increasing funding for the construction of the Odesa airport, as well as including the Mukacheve airport and excluding the Vinnytsia international airport.

Energatom, H2 sign deal to build computing data center to tap power
KYIV, Aug 21 – Acting President of National Nuclear Generation Company Energoatom Petro Kotin and the H2 company have signed a memorandum of cooperation on the construction of a computing data center near Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), the press service of Energoatom said on Thursday, August 20.

Finance ministry: UAH25,000 auto tax proposed only on luxury cars
KIEV, Aug. 21 – The Finance Ministry has proposed that a tax of UAH 25,000 on cars with an engine capacity of over 3,000 cubic meters should only apply to luxury cars, and a tax of up to UAH 1,000 should be introduced for all owners of cars which are no older than five years, Deputy Finance Minister Olena Makeyeva said. |
Customs Service investigation uncovers medicine intermediaries
KIEV, Aug. 22 – A total of 74% of the medicine imported from Belarus is sold in Ukraine by intermediaries registered in New Zealand, the United States and Israel and a similar scheme is in effect for supplies of medicine from Russia, according to an investigation by the State Customs Service, details of which were obtained by the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia Ukraine online publication. |
GAFTA complains to WTO and EU about Customs Service grain obstacles
