Skhidny Mining to increase uranium concentrate production in 2014

KIEV, Sept. 24 - Skhidny Mining and Enrichment Combine (VostGOK, Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region), plans to increase its production of uranium concentrate by 8.5% or 78 tons in 2014, to 1,000 tons, Skhidny Mining Director General Oleksandr Sorokin told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday.

Ukraine grain exports reported up 14.3% over past three months

KIEV, Sept. 24 - Ukraine increased grain exports 14.3% on the year to 5.3 million metric tons between July 1 and September 20, the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry reported Tuesday.

The latest data support an earlier forecast by the Ukrainian Grain Association that Ukraine may become the world’s second biggest exporter of grain in the 2013-2014 marketing year.
