Most Ukrainians like Baltic states, Germany, UK, France, US, Canada: poll
KYIV, Oct 24 – More than 80% of Ukrainian citizens express a positive attitude towards Latvia (87%), Lithuania (87%), Germany (87%), Great Britain (86.5%), France (86%), the USA (84%), Canada (84%), the Netherlands (84%), the Czech Republic (83%), and Estonia (82%), according to the results of a sociological survey conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Centre on September 20-26 and presented at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

IFC, EBRD, USAID to provide $480-mln to Ukraine’s MHP to refinance debt
KYIV, Oct 23 – The International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) are providing the Ukrainian agricultural holding MHP, the largest chicken producer in Ukraine, with $480 million to refinance debt and maintaining current activities within the framework of strengthening food security in the context of the war launched by the Russian Federation.

EBRD seeks capital increase by end-2023 to support Ukraine
KYIV, Oct 23 – The Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has agreed to work on a capital increase of EUR 3-5 billion by the end of the year to provide maximum support to Ukraine during the war and during the recovery phase, the bank said in a statement on Monday.

NASDAQ-traded VEON to invest $600-mln in Kyivstar, CEO tells investors
KYIV, Oct 23 – VEON Holding (Amsterdam), whose shares are traded on the NASDAQ and Euronext Amsterdam exchanges, confirmed its intention to invest $600 million in PrJSC Kyivstar, despite the situation with the seizure of the indirect share of Alfa Group co-owner Mikhail Fridman in Kyivstar, VEON Group Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu said in a letter to investors published on Friday.

DFC approves $380-mln in food security, healthcare projects in Ukraine
KYIV, Oct 24 – The American International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) has approved five new projects in Ukraine with a total value of more than $380 million aimed at supporting food security, small businesses, the healthcare system and international trade, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported.

European traders increase volumes of gas stored in Ukraine
KYIV, Oct 24 – The volume of gas that nonresidents store in Ukraine's UGS facilities in customs warehouse has increased seven times since the beginning of October, Serhiy Pereloma, Head of Ukrainian gas storage operator Ukrtransgaz, has said.
