Canadian court releases arrested Ruslan AN-124 after long stop

KIEV, Jan. 25 - A Canadian Court finally released a Ruslan AN-124 Ukrainian cargo airplane, arrested June 2003, Ukraynski Novyny news agency reported, citing Kostiantyn Lushakov, head of the state-owned Antonov aircraft manufacturing company.


Despite stock run, official sees room for UkrNafta share hike

Ukrainian government sees economy accelerating growth to 6.8% in 2025

KYIV, Dec 21 – The Ukrainian government, as part of its restoration of medium-term budget planning, approved the main macro indicators for 2024-2026, which assume an acceleration of economic growth from 4.6% in 2024 to 6.8% in 2025 and a slight slowdown to 6.6% in 2026.


Ukraine, U.S. agree to cooperate on nuclear safety, security

KYIV, Dec 21 – Head of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine Oleh Korikov and head of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US NRC) Christopher T. Hanson signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.


Courier delivery service Glovo says restaurant orders up 70% on year

KYIV, Dec 21 – The courier delivery service Glovo reported an increase in the number of orders from restaurants in 2023 by 70%, and products from supermarkets by 84% compared to last year; at the same time, the number of orders from non-food stores increased by 91%.


Ukraine new car sales to drop 6.7% on year in 2013

KIEV, Dec. 24 – Sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine in 2013 will not exceed 203,000, which is 6.7% less year-over-year (217,600), Director General of the All-Ukrainian Association of Car Importers and Dealers (VAAID) Oleh Nazarenko said.

KIEV, Dec. 24 - The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) in Ukraine was 85.5 in November 2013, which is 1.5 higher than in October, according to a monthly survey of GfK Ukraine.


Investor confidence declined slightly in Q4, according to EBA

KIEV, Dec. 21 – The investment attractiveness index of Ukraine drawn up by the European Business Association in the fourth quarter of 2012 came to 2.12 notches out of a possible five, which is evidence of the slight worsening of investors' confidence (by 0.02 notches), despite the improvement of Ukraine's positions in the global ratings which reflect the doing business conditions.

KIEV, Dec. 21 – A slight improvement of consumer confidence of Ukrainians continued in November, while concerns of Ukrainians regarding unemployment dynamics significantly deepened, according to GfK Ukraine.
