Liquidated bank overstated assets by 97.2%, Deposit Fund reports

KIEV, Jan. 24 – The executive directors of the Individuals Deposit Guarantee Fund have approved a document for forming the liquidation assets of bank Mykhailivsky (Kiev), and according to independent appraisers the real cost of the bank's assets was less than their balance sheet cost by 97.2%, the fund has reported on its website.


DTEK blames 33.8% December coal usage spike on cold weather

KIEV, Jan. 24 – DTEK thermal power plants (TPP) in December increased coal consumption compared to December 2015 by 33.8%, or by 481,000 tons, to 1.906 million tons.

KIEV, Jan. 25 - Kernel, a large Ukrainian agrarian group, announced it has placed $500 million of bonds with a yield of 8.875% per annum.

The press service said that initially the yield for securities was assessed at 9.25-9.5%.


AvtoKrAZ to get UAH2 billion from government to produce vehicles

KIEV. Jan 25 – AvtoKrAZ (Kremenchuk, Poltava region) will receive around UAH 2 billion as a government order to produce vehicles in 2017, head of Poltava Regional Administration Valeriy Holovko said.

"I brought this news from Kiev where a serious meeting headed by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman was held," he wrote on his Facebook page.
