Defense ministry stops financing development of Sapsan missile system

KIEV, June 25 – The Defense Ministry has stopped financing the development of the Sapsan multi-purpose missile system, despite the fact that the program and all legal instruments to create the missile system have been approved, Director of Ukraine's Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies Valentyn Badrak told the Ukrainian weekly, Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror of the Week).


RWE execs deny being in talks with Russians over Ukraine re-exports

KIEV, June 25 – Top executives of German RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, which has been shipping gas for Naftogaz Ukrayiny since November 2012, have denied the reports they are in talks on giving up re-exporting of Russian gas in order to get lower prices in long-term contracts with Gazprom.
