State arms exporter to seek return of two employees held in Kazakhstan
KIEV, July 25 – Ukraine's state arms exporter Ukrspecexport is planning to take measures under current Ukrainian and international law in order to return to Ukraine two employees who were sentenced in Kazakhstan on July 23 to six years in prison for giving a bribe to a senior Kazakh military official, the company reported. |
Farmers lost UAH13.6b to drought in spring and summer, says official

Vegetable prices will remain stable, Azarov tells government
KIEV, July 25 – There will be stable prices for vegetables in the domestic market this agricultural year, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov predicts.
"One can be sure that prices for vegetables will remain stable for the whole year up until the new harvest," he said opening a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kiev on Wednesday. |
Proposed land market law won’t help land market, says consultant
KIEV, July 25 – The government's version of a draft law on the land market, law No. 9001-1, restricts the circle of persons who have ownership rights to farmland, which does not promote the development of the comprehensive market, Vladyslav Kysil,the head of the property practice department at KPD Consulting, told Interfax-Ukraine.
