Kernel may buy oilseed crushing plant and expand land holdings
KIEV, Jan. 24 – Kernel, a large Ukrainian agrarian group, may buy an oilseed crushing plant in Ukraine with an annual capacity of around 1 million tons of sunflower seeds and expand its land bank by 200,000-250,000 ha, Kernel founder and Chairman Andriy Verevsky said. |

KIEV, Jan. 25 - The State Property Fund intends by the end of 2017 to sell 99.967% of PJSC Odessa port-side chemical plant, 75.22% of PJSC Turboatom, 68.0095% in PJSC Zaporizhia Aluminium Combine (ZAlK), as well as state-owned stakes in Zaporizhia Titanium and Magnesium Combine (51%) and PJSC Azovmash (50%). |
Daily imports of natural gas via Hungary spike 38% on Jan. 24
KIEV, Jan. 26 - Ukraine’s daily imports of European natural gas via Hungary increased by 38% to 3.7 million cubic meters on January 24, compared with about 2.7 million cu m earlier in January, UkrTransGaz, the state gas shipper, reported Monday. |
EIB considering EUR152 million Dnipropetrovsk subway construction loan
DNIPROPETROVSK, Jan. 26 – The issue of providing EUR 152 million to Dnipropetrovsk city council for subway construction is pending approval by the Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank in April, and in May the financing will go to the borrower, EIB representative Boris Stein von Kamiensk said at a meeting in the city council devoted to the completion of the construction of three subway stations in the city. |
Australia’s Lugansk Gold to invest $50 million in gold sulfite mine
KIEV, Jan. 24 - The Australian company Lugansk Gold plans to put some $50 million into the mining and refining of gold sulfide ores at the Bobrikovo deposit in Ukraine's Luhansk region, and has already spent roughly $2 million, the Perth-based company's Web site says, citing head of the Antratsyt regional administration Hennadiy Holovnenko. |
